In May 2008 Sarah met a new true best friend, a SEIZURE RESPONSE DOG named Wonder. Children with Dravet Syndrome frequently have seizures in their sleep and may die from Sudden Unexplained Death of Epilepsy. Wonder is trained to alert Sarah's parents when she is having a seizure at night, potentially saving her life. He is a certified service dog who also helps Sarah walk without falling and is a companion during the scary times all children with a chronic illness face. Wonder was trained by the amazing folks at 4 Paws for Ability. To read updates on how Sarah and Wonder are doing go to Sarah's blog.
